Through a partnership with Made Mobb, Red Bull saw the opportunity to capitalize on their idea, “First Fridays”, a monthly block party with a goal of bringing together a community with midwest values in mind. MadeMobb is a Kansas City based streetwear brand, based at the intersection of Kansas City’s authenticity, and cultural expression- literally at the Crossroads. 

The event featured local vendors, special product drops, and collaborations with other clothing brands, so it was the perfect space to bring the Red Bull Dance Your Style regional qualifiers in for 2025. Black & Tan helped bring this idea to life, building a full scale block party, open to all ages, with open-entry. We worked with neighbors to shut down the crossroads and build an incredible outdoor venue, hosting some of the best dancers in the country. 

At the centerpoint of the block party, the Midwest’s top street dancers competed on an outdoor, elevated stage to battle for a place in the National Final in San Francisco.  Competitors battled down the bracket, with winners of each battle moving one step closer to the coveted title and ticket to the USA Final.  Ultimately, Chicago’s Kid Nimbus took the crown, barely edging out KC’s local hero Zen.  Thousands showed their appreciation for the amazing competition as well as the chance for this amazing community to come together in celebration.
