From 2013 to 2025, David Colturi’s vision of growing high diving came alive, so he tapped Black and Tan to partner with him on the No Limits Tour, to produce its first ever cliff diving competition in epic fashion. Hell’s Gate in Texas became the ultimate stage for technical and freestyle divers to push their limits. Everything from the branding to the location to the founder himself diving in the comp shifted the perspective to be athlete friendly in every way. This truly was a “For Us, By Us” moment.

Working on a condensed timeline, the team was able to build an amazing event on and off the water through hard work, detailed planning, and with the support of some amazing partners. At a remote location on a small island in the middle of Possum Kingdom Lake, we built 20 and 27 meter platforms over a massive body of water. This feat was more than just a production, it was rooted in developing, maintaining and leveraging strong community relationships combined with local expertise. 

Behind the scenes, a ton of work was put in to bring high diving back to Texas. We were able to re-engage with a super important endemic and cultural group that we have worked with many years in the past - the massive Texas lake life community. Because of the resort atmosphere, viewers and participants felt the vibe of a luxury vacation with a sporting event right in the middle of it all, courtesy of Lush Resort’s amazing hospitality. The energy, the teamwork, the views. We were able to collectively build with a longtime collaborator, and an amazing human being to help the launch of his company and bring his moonshot vision to life. 

Shoutout to Action Water Sports for providing all of the watercraft operations, Lush Resort for the off-water accommodations, plus the Brazos River Authority and the Sportsman's World for hosting us on the water. Everything came together perfectly for a truly historic launch!
